opti
so i here that msd opti really isnt the way to go for the price and performance, i herd good reviews an bad reviews about the msd opti. so what opti would be the best or most preferable opti for price an performance wise.

And as I mentioned in the other Opti thread, make sure it's a real GM and not a remanufactured Declo like the many on eBay. Gmpartsdirect should be a nice bit cheaper than the dealer. The LT1 faq stickied has a Parts Number catalog and then just grab the right year(very important) Opti part number.

yea i really dont shop on ebay for parts for my camaro unless its for the interior and gauges, so i guess ima go wit acdelco im hearing a lot of good things bout their opti and should i stick with the acdelco wires as well or just get the msd spark plug wires?

My LT1 has 88K miles on it and I haven't had a problem with the opti so far. I have the motor broken down now and I'm wondering if I should replace it or let it be? I'm putting a cam, springs and headers on it and I'm already over my budget so if I don't have to replace it I would rather not. But on the flipside, it's going to be much cheaper and easier for me to do it now rather than later.
I read that the 95's have the vented opti, but how can you tell?
I found an Accel Ultra Optispark II for $270 bucks; anyone have any experience with those? I was thinking about getting that one if I replace the factory one.

At 88K miles, I'd suggest a new distributor cap....

Anyone know about the ACCEL opti or suggest a good one for a relatively good price?
