Default 1995 383 Trans Am twin turbo PT67-65 build

Hey guys, the old winter work thread was getting a little cluttered and the direction of the build changed a lot from the begining of that thread so I'm starting this new one.

I'm typing this up from Ocean City MD right now but hopefuly when I get home tomorrow I can make a lot more progress on it. I'm hoping to have it done by July.

Here's some of the more recent pics, I'll be updating this with progress pics every once in a while.

I've got 2 Precision BB 67-67 turbos on the way.

A1000 and all the fuel line plumbing installed up to the firewall.

Pump controller almost in.

AEM wideband, Cobalt egt and boost gauge in.

Workin on installing the Spectre EMSpro.

36-1 trigger wheel, sensors, and Dakota Digital speedo converter waiting to be installed.

Couplers and filters. Exhaust valves to.

Clearancing the block for the H beam rods.

Radiator (Need to box the frame in and make radiator mounts)

Nissan 90mm TB

Harness and seat kinda mocked up.

Workin on getting the car all wet sanded and buffed. Need to paint the side skirts and repaint the top of the spoiler.

Intercooler (putting a grill in there)

Cutoff switch.

Hmmm....very nice build...only criticism i really have of it is why not sump the tank and mount the pump and especially the filter a better way?? That's really the only thing i dont like, other then that it looks great. I'm very eager to see numbers.

Im fine with criticism but what exactly don't you like about it? That portion of the tank is the verry bottom of the V shaped tank we have in are cars. I think welding on a sump would be very important on say a flat tank, but the tank in our cars is allready V shaped and I don't think I'll have any problems keeping fuel available to the pump as long as I'm not right on E which I never like to do in the first place.

As for the pump and filter location, it's below the tank, it's mounted secure, and it's not going to have clearance issues.

I like to keep things simple. If anyone has criticism try to throw me some ideas you think are better

omg wine back & milds are terrible!

are you gonna make the front bumper direct the air right on the intercooler or just leave it open?

It looks good to me. I think shrouding the intercooler would be a good idea. Is that an old GMR Speed intercooler?

Fixed. I took me a second to figure out what you were talking about.

Looks good, nice job on the front cover for the cooler.

2 questions: Why a Nissan TB, and what intake are you running to use a big roundie?

Yeah it only cost me $80. I'm going to be using a modified stock intake manifold with it.

Yes it is a GMR speed intercooler.

I like wine black and milds haha.

As for the intercooler, I'm either A. leaving it with no shroud and putting a mesh grill over the opening or B. leaving the opening there and building a shroud right to the intercooler. I haven't made my mind up what will look better, I do know just some mesh would be 100x easier but what fun is that hah.

Again...i love the set up, just simple nit picking really. The location is fine for the pick up...i guess really i just don't like the filter, hell why not mount it right beside the pump, just not a fan of the zip ties.

And wine black and milds are by far the best imo, great choice there

It looks happy, I hope you have a smile like that as you rip down the side streets startling pedestrians.
