Run MSD 8.5's over-the-valvecover?
I have a set of MSD 8.5MM Superconductor wires and I recently installed longtubes and have already burned a couple wires. I want the over the valvecover set, but I only put these MSDs on like 8 months ago and they were $90.
If I get some replacement wires, is it possible to use the over the valve cover pieces wire retainers with my MSD wires? And where could I get the retainers?

You will love the OTVC wires! They stay so far away from my headers and I don't have to worry about them moving. I'm happy with my Taylor's but it seems for some people they are hit or miss. I've heard you can get the MSD wires with the opti end already on them and you only have to put on the 90* boot for the spark plugs. That would make it a ton easier because putting on the opti ends was a PIA for me.

You'll have to get new plug wires though. Your MSD wires are too short to run OTVC (some are long enough but not all of them).
I wish someone would make a pre-cut set of OTVC wires. It would save a lot of hassle, I hate crimping my own plug wires.

I doubt the stock length wires would be long enough. MSD makes a cut to fit set of wires. I actually bought bulk wire, all the necessary terminals, looms etc., and just made my own. I used the 10.4mm looms, but I ran the MSD Heat Guard the entire length of my wires. The 10.4mm looms worked great for that particular application.
