Which Distributor...if Any... Would Best Fit A Machined Lt1/lt4 Intake Manifold??
The Motor Is Not Set Up For Opti.....was Dynoed With Single Plane And Old Style Dist. I Cant Afford Single Plane Yet, So I Want To Machine My Intake To Take An Old Style Dist.

Damnit I Knew I Forgot Something Its Going In A B Body, It Might Be The Same Amount Of Space But It Doesnt Seem To Be The Cowl Im Worried About, It Was The Spot Where The Egr Tube Went....on The Actual Intake

I didnt get to far into it as this was my first engine build and I sold it to buy my transam before I finished it.I had picked the setup off of one of the guys in my club locally Though I do have some pics of it

Oh Ok, Well Ya I Can Kinda See I Think That Would Be Alright But Ill Probably Look At The Dimensions And Check Mine Out It Sure Looks Tight Between There And Tha Back If Tha Bread Box Thanks Alott Tho

Because Mike Put Some Lil Cover Over The Cam...i Could Remove It But Idk.. Also If I Run Opti I Need To Go And Change It Back To The Lt1 Timing Chain Its Got Another One On There Now. When It Was Just Freshened Up It Was Set Up Like That...thats Tha Way Its Makin Tha 698 Right Now. So I Was Just Kinda Gonna Go Like That Im Still Not Sure.
Ive Been Lookin For A Cheap Manifold So I Can Atleast Run Single Plane Carbeurated
I Can Use Any Sbc Manifold Right....they Just Have To Re-machine The Holes???

i have no idea, but thats what he said when we were talking about it when i picked it up.
i got tha opti, gear, and chain. i could swap it out, and its sounding more and more tempting to do. but i think that motor will be limited by tha computer even after tuning. maybe not idk more input is always welcome how high can a stock computer (tuned) rev?? does the opti itsself have a limit??

Damn, that distributor in that pic is huge.
I'll try to get the model number off mine. The cap is way smaller. I have a crank trigger and running a FAST computer.

get the msd crab cap style of distributor! just my 2 cents.
i ended up running a stock GM vortec distributor from a 95-97 pickup the msd unit is much cheaper!!!!! live and learn
