thats a lot of cam, even for a 383 IMHO

I run the 268XFI in my 383

218/224 @ 113 LSA gives .570/.575 lift with 1:6 RR

if you run the XFI grind you MUST run a bee hive spring.

I've only been running it for a short time and have not been able to do any tweeking on my tune to improve performance but, I like it. 11.40s with a mail order tune and LE2 heads. I have a new friend that has been as quick as 10.80s with it N/A.

Ahh your right, I missed the "ported" word as well untill your edit...

hell stock ported heads all depend on how well they are ported, if you have CNC or something like an LE2 or 3, or better then I would go with the 292 personally, if your heads are home ported or buy a kid on the street, then go with a smaller cam...

I'm going 306 on stock heads with my 383 setup. I'll let you know how it does here in like 2 weeks.
