The stock GM timing chain is not a double roller. Only options for "upgrades" really are a double roller SBC chain if you use an electric waterpump (you have to clearance the inside of the timing cover if you do this though), or the LT4 "Extreme Duty" set. Most cars will do fine with just a new stock replacement though.
Also, for Optis, either go with a new AC Delco one (or Delphi from "thepartsladi" on ebay), or get an MSD.

The LS7 lifters are a direct replacement lifter for LT1's. They are the only thing that all LS based motors and LT can share. If you go to the dealer to order LT1 lifters the LS7's are what you will get because they are just the same thing but revised to better handle the high rpm's of the LS7 motor.
