told yall so lol. just check for arcing in the dark on every taylor wire. my car is running better than ever right now. track tommorrow for sure. i wont waste my time with taylor ever again.

875s are more prone to failure than the 850s lifters due to the retainer clip design.

heres some pics...

I've got Taylor OTVC just on my drivers side. The passenger side looks to be still stock wires. Why someone would do that, I do not know. But, the car doesn't really run all that perfectly. I haven't really checked for arching wires, but I'm replacing them Tuesday anyways, with some Vision Motorsports 10.2mm's. I'm also putting some sleeves on them to make sure I don't melt them after the LT install.

you might have some trouble routing the 10.2s if you are putting them OTVC

I havent had good luck with any wires so far. I just put msd 8.5's on after the cam install car ran fine for about 1 month then started missing horribly couldnt figure it out had a scan tool on it no codes thrown. I was pissed at the tuner thinking i had a garbage tune. A couple weeks later i finally decide to pop my hood and find the back 2 cylinders wires were completly off. I dont know if the wires just didnt connect good or what not or if someone unplugged them but either way it wasnt msd's fault they are good wires..

I have some custom Tayler wires for my LTCC setup, 409 wire with heat boots. Still, one of them burned up at the plug boot just weeks after installation. After reading this thread, I took a good look at them in the dark and sure enough, there was some arcing at higher RPM's. I've replaced them with the MSD 8.5 wire with Moroso heat boots as they seem better. Made this set meself.

I'm down with 9000's. Good heat resistance and a nice quality wire. I never liked the MSD's because it is hard to feel when they "click" on to the spark plug. Other than that the MSD's are good.

we should get all of our POS wires together in a very large box and send them back to Taylor with a nice letter.

is Taylor a sponsor for ls1tech??

I'm not doing OTVC again. I'm just going to route them in the stock position with some sleeves to keep the headers from burning them.
