I've got the Accel Extreme 9000's, no problems and not universal fit (no making the ends!) Less than $100 from Summit.

I installed a MSD Billet Opti along with 8.2mm Taylors and new plugs last week. Hot Rod's been running sweet. Haven't had any problem nor can I complain.

I'll keep an eye on the wires however after hearing everyones comments.

I have the OTVC kit from Thunder and my car does not miss a beat! I also have the dreaded MSD opti that everyone talks bad about and MSD coil. So I guess all my ignition parts suck but my car loves em!

I guess it's hit or miss with Taylor wires. I will never buy a Taylor product again.

Well I just replaced an opti because i was stupid enough to trust taylor wires.

These things are going in the trash as soon as i get my new ones. Does anyone know if stock length Delco wires will fit going OTVC? even if i have to coil them up? Not dealing with this bullshit anymore.

I bought MSD bulk wire, and all of their components, and made my own OTVC wires just because I wanted black wires. It wasn't too difficult.

There seemed to be way too much negative info out there regarding Taylor wires to seriously consider the Thunder Racing kit.

This is another hit or miss product, as in the Comp 875r lifters. I'm presently using both of these. I 've had my Comp 875r lifters since 2005 with no issues whatsoever and have had the Taylor SpiroPro wires for almost 8yrs now with no arcing or miss. IMO, both are great products.

I agree.... I have the Comp lifters, have about 8-10,000 miles on them. So far, so good. Wires? that's another story......

- bumping this to the top -

people running the Accel 9000s, where did you get them? I need a set that is cut to fit to replace my OTVC taylors. The summit kits only seem to include 8 ends, or only come with one type of connector.

Yeah this thread is scaring me, been running them for a couple years now (on more than a few cars) and no problems, but I think I am going to have to find some wood to knock on...
