Default help with meziere e water pump.

hi guys. I've been working on my car since 7 pm got a new radiator and meziere E water pump .
well the wire of the pump came with a fuse and the manual says blue cable goes to + and black to - just like that.

I plug it in to the battery but to my surprise the pump doesn stop rolling

where should I take power from ???

I'm a noob with electronics and I never done this before but I rather do it myself and learn than pay big money for my stuff.

thanks for your help

k obviously the battery does not turn off so it will give continuous power....anythin that shuts off when the car is off would work....dont use the fans bc they dont come on automatically....if u want to use the battery get a nice fuse and use a switch...but i wouldnt do that

I wired in a relay and found a fuse (hot w/ key on) in the box on the drivers side of the engine bay. I can tell you which one when I get home this morning if you haven't already figured somthing out.

Be sure and use a relay. Places such as Summit sell them; they will protect your pump as well as your wiring.

Buy a standard automotive relay at radio shack. It doesn't matter if it is 4 or 5 terminals because you will only use the four. Then hook it up as follows:

Terminal #--------->component

-30------->Blue (fused) wire from pump
-85------->Ground (hook up the black pump wire to the same ground as this)
-86------->Positive when Ignition On Only (Ignition fuse in fuse box)
-87------->Main Positive from Battery, Hot all the time.
-87a------>Not Used

The main feed from the battery needs to be at least the same gauge wire as the blue pump wire. No smaller and one gauge larger would be best. The main ground should also be that size. The ignition wire doesn't have to be as thick because all it does is signal the relay to give the main power to the pump. Make sure all these connections are solid and sealed because if any of them come apart, the pump will stop and the car will overheat.

thanks for your help. I did everything you said and it worked out good for me.
the e pump is runnig perectl

every time I turn the engine on I could hear a noise coming from the water pump.
at the beginning I thought it was the water pump but then I realized one of the hose was leaking.

I'm gonna fix it as soon as I can.

I just came out of work and I was exited to run my car. for some reason I decided to check the radiator fluids level and it was empty. no water at all .
I looked under and I found the problem.
the old pump housing holds the new one by 6 bolts and it seems that water is leaking from one of them. I tight it up a little more but it was worthless. I followed the instructions from other site and it says that you have to put the old rubber sealant of the old pum in the meziere one.
mine looks a little crappy but I just did that.
I also put some sealant gasket between these things but it never really dry so I guees it just work with a gasket
I was wondering if is there any gasket that I can put between those things.

thanks again
