I don't have a garage OR a driveway, even simple things suck in the street. I also meant tools under the umbrella of facilities, of which I have few. As for the work, if I had a manual I could do it but I wouldn't trust myself with wiring with nothing to go on. Luckily, I already have an M6.

I won't have the Transmission until I come back from Iraq..

The U-bolt for the Master Cylinder came in today, next week I'm buying the Hydraulics. I'll have more pics when I put them in.

Same here, I think theres a t56 conversion in my Hawks future. Unless of course I can find another one with it already.... As of yet that search isnt going too well (not many around here for some reason).

Beer Break.

So what exactly did the Bud Light help you accomplish today (if you even did anything since I last asked) other than getting drunk?

There is a such thing as "car work drunk" where you have that extra initiative, but then theres that line you cross where everything becomes harder because you just get lazy. At that point drinking more beer is really the only option.

You can get some pretty good deals on T-56s, and there seems to be alot of them floating around right now. Just pick one up, freshen it up and build it how you like it (or leave it stock, whatever you want) and throw it in there.

Your going to be looking at around 1k for a working, but decently used T-56.

Well today I cut the hole for the Master Cylinder and installed that, and installed the Fluid Resivoir as well. I put the Petals in too.

The last thing I have left is to put the Interior back together. The Car will sit like this until I come back from Iraq, that is when I'll put in the T56, Clutch/Flywheel Kit, and the rest of the stuff that I have for it.

Good stuff, makes me want either a T-56 for the hawk OR a T-56 car in general

I might have found a T-56 conversion locally for a grand. Im thinking about doing it. Also, whats the benefit of doing the LS1 drill mod?

That's a good price, go for it.

I dont know if the LT1's are setup the same way(I doubt it since it's the "LS1 Drill Mod"), but there is a factory restriction in the Fitting. You drill it out with a 1/8" bit to make the end of it the same as the Line.

The restriction was designed to not let you be able to get 3rd gear if you are quick enough with your shifting. It won't let the fluid in the line build back up to where you have enough petal for the 2-3 shift.
A friend of mine had an '01 Z28, he always missed third until he did this mod. I missed third with it was well.. the Petal would only come half-way back up.
