A few updates...

We have more crank reluctors in stock.

We received a few sample cam sensor housing aluminum castings yesterday. The samples look great so we ordered a quantity of them and are expecting stock in about two weeks. Just as with any cast aluminum piece, these housings require several machined surfaces. Until the machine costs are known, we don't have final pricing.

We hope to have more results, at least two running engines, within the next few weeks.

The cam sensor housing. On the left is our prototype housing with LS2 cam sensor. On the right is a casting of the production housing. It's a very nice piece. I'll post a pic of the machined housing after it's done (probably by next week).

Once these pieces are installed, none of our 24x hardware will ever wear out...ever. If you have to service anything, it would be the crank sensor (GM sensor) and cam sensor (GM sensor). We very intentionally designed this system so that you would not have to rely on EFI Connection for service related parts.

When are you going to have pricing on the cam sensor housing?

$525.00 24x LT1 Conversion Package
EFI Connection is now offering the 24x LT1 conversion package. The package includes...

Our 24x crankshaft reluctor and 24x crank sensor. This reluctor has been developed by EFI Connection and is the first of its kind. Each 24x reluctor is CNC cut from one piece of steel. It installs within the 96-97 LT1 timing cover for a sealed, very factory type installation. This 24x reluctor also installs within the early small block Vortec timing cover for non-LT1 applications.

Our LT1 camshaft sensor, housing, and 1x target. If purchased separately, outside the $525 package price, these pieces are bundled together for $250. The housing below is an early production housing. The only difference in appearance will be that the face of the housing will retain a cast aluminum look. This housing replaces the optispark module.

An engine harness, ignition coils, PCM, and other items are not included in this package. 24x LT1 plug and play conversion harnesses for the Camaro/Firebird are priced at $800. Many other items are offered through EFI Connection.

Looking forward to seeing how these kits work out for people.
The investment isn't small by any means, but the potential for greatness is there
with the right combination.

So its only $525 for the 24x reluctor AND the opti replacement housing with cam sensor? Then we just need to mod our own harness, and pick up a computer and some coils? If so that sounds great!

Also, why is the 95 cover not listed, does it use the crank position sensor location from the 96-97?? I only have a 93 and a 95 timing cover ...

Yes, 24x Crank Reluctor, 24x Crank Sensor, and all of the Cam Sensor Components.

The 95 timing cover has no provision for the crank sensor. There is a 96-97 cover on ebay right now.

Absolutely. I see no problems with the early LT1 (all the way back to 93). Our test engine is a 94 Camaro LT1.
