Default A4- M6 Gurus inside!

Quick question

Just completed the A4-M6 swap on my 96 T/A

motor ran fine before, after swap was completed i got the usual SES code because im waiting to tune it until i put the new motor in.

after the swap i noticed one of my wires was burnt and started missing (#7) badly.. fixed that and it now runs like an raped ape when accelerating. but when i let it coast in gear, letting the motor slow the car down or when i rev it, it gurguls and pops like its missing.. is this a tune problem? or do i have bigger problems.. because its a constant gurgul everytime. sometimes it pops if im going say, 40 mph and put it in 2nd and coast

Thanks!

probably just sounds gurgly and you're not used to havin a car stay in gear while decellerating.

no.. it doesn't sound right.. there is a M6 Lt1 t/a down the street and i ran beside him today.. we both went the same speed and shifted to second and mine did it and his didn't.. both of our cars are completly stock.. cept he has a cat back system.

i also was going 55, shifted into 3rd coming to a stop light and it was doing it, then popped real loud all the way down..

i want to say a miss, but it doesn't do it under accel'ing loads, only under deceling.. and when i am at speed and let off the fuel to coast a ways, like when trying to time lights.

Are you tuned for the Standard? Believe it or not, there it a different tune for the Idle, and Fuel Trims for an Auto if I'm not mistaken..

I'm leaning toward a Tune. I'm suprised your RPM's dont hold during shifts..many conversion cars do that before they get tuned.

yeah actually from what i have read it is out of the ordinary. because they drop like my frieghtliner used to when i weighed out at 79500 and used the jake brake.. i mean. 2 k to idle like bam.. thats what has me concerned..
