I backed my 9 second runs at Englishtown this saturday at our QTP GM EFI Race #4.
Its still a six speed. I like rowing gears. Here is the breakdown of the run.

idk the record but really nice car man i love how its still a 6 speed. but ive heard that at the drag strip a steel clutch is better because the weight? obviously its harder to spin but i heard its better become in science terms it makes more energy to spin the clutch better from a stand still. now this could very well be wrong its just sometin i heard

 

how do you not break the 12 bolt. I keep breaking mine and only go mid 1.4's(at 3800lbs+)

 

I know 6 speed Inc's car is cutting 1.29's

I have a spool in the 12 bolt. It holds, but know i say that it will most likely break.

 

Wow, that is insane, here I am tring to beat a 2.0 on street tires and a stock rear end

That's a wicked launch with a stick! What RPM do you leave at? Got any pics of that prototype side exhaust?

I saw this car in person. its a blast to watch it launch

 

I would take that in a heartbeat....I haven't tested my new setup yet but will see what I can do hopefully next week. Congrats on your success.

 

I think what your referring to is the inertia of the heavier steel flywheel, not clutch.

 

haha, and a lot of people hated on me for arguing the aluminum flywheel for a 1/4 car.

nice to see a 1.30 60ft on an aluminum flywheel.

 

I know it wasn't the record, but again, awesome job. I love seeing true stick cars being driven into single digit territory. Much more impressive than with an auto, in my opinion.

I leave aroufnd 4500-6000 depending on the conditions. Looking for more seat time.
