I don't wanna abuse the clutch with powershifts, well never want to abuse the tranny in general with power shifts, so it may be awhile to get what you want. I may do some high rpm shifts if the cruising shifts seem buttery smooth!

Shoot me a PM - I'll put together a sweet package deal for you with the shifter/cylinder kit combo.

Gonna pick up my car tomorrow, but got an update from a friend that works at the shop. Its pretty much done, they just gotta complete bolting up the transmission, torque arm, etc.

He said the slave looked in pretty good condition, but the pressure plate looked pretty much completely shot and the flywheel had a couple of burn spots. Everything should be better now.

Been awhile since I purchased the slave/master/tranny mount , but about 120-130 for the master(GM), about 100 for the slave(GM), an energy tranny mount(around 30-40), 450 for the ls7 kit. The shop is gonna take $400 from me for all the labor.

That sucks. Sounds like your old clutch/PP didn't have too much longer to go at least. Seems like your next option is to yank the transmission and have someone go through it.

What could make this happen in every single gear though? at any speeds, at any rpm, idle, 2k, 3k,5k, no matter what, always occurs, except if you do what I stated in the original post.

quick tip i received when i had question about getting blocked out of fifth somebody told me to check and make sure the shifter (whole assembly) was sitting properly, as they once had a similar problem and it turned out the shifter base was loose (there are four bolts i believe underneath the boot) since you said you have a pro 5.0 i was wondering if you installed yourself and perhaps didn't line it up quite right or it might be loose enough to when you go to give it a quick jerk it moves a little and doesn't align properly? just a suggestion before you go pay somebody to rip up your tranny

Good suggestion. I thought about that too but would assume it had been checked since the trans was just pulled to replace the clutch.

Try calling one of the trans repair outfits and see what they have to say about it.

This was happening even before the 5.0, so it can't be due to that, and yeah, they did have to pull it once again to replace the clutch. Hopefully one of the techier people that lurk around these forums can pitch in(somebody from a rebuild shop or something).

If worst comes to worst, anybody know a decent tranny shop in NYC? One that won't have my car out of commission for a couple of weeks.

i'm sure this has been stated before but if not i will put it up again:
1-2 gears not working properly would be internal
when you are stating it is every gear that is a problem with the clutch
unless all your synchro sleeves went bad at once (which don't really happen) there is a problem with the clutch/ slave (throw out bearing) or maybe even your pilot bearing since it does it at any rpm perhaps it might be binding and that is the cause of the clash in your shifting what all have you replaced?

What has been replaced since I got the car(Stuff that would be relevant, it was fully stock when I got it to the extent of my knowledge, and this has been happening ever since I purchased it 5-6 months ago).

1) New Pro 5.0 shifter
2) New tranny fluid (mobil 1)
3) New pilot bearing
4) New GM slave/throwout bearing
5) New GM master
6) New flywheel, pressure plate, and clutch(LS7 Kit)
7) New Transmission mount

Just talked to my friend that works at the mechanic and told me it may be, if our cars are equipped with it, a stop behind the clutch. The stop would not allow the clutch pedal to be fully depressed disallowing it from completely releasing the clutch from the flywheel. Do our cars have any sort of stops that can be damaged/adjusted( not the master itself since I know thats non-adjustable)?

How puzzling. Seems like you replaced EVERYTHING that could make a difference. Seems like either the tranny is-self is all funked up or there was a pretty significant install problem. Every gear usually means hydraulics. I'm sorry this is happening to you, but I've been watching this thread and hopefully someone can help you.

i don't believe a clutch stop would be a factor (if there is one in our cars) because the clutch is already disengaging, you got me stumped man, like i said usually when it's all the gears it's hydraulic clutch assembly related... unless you are lucky and got an f'd up tranny with all the synchro sleeves and blocks chewed up since it's not an adjustable master i don't think there would be an issue there as it would keep pedal height normal... sorry i can't help you i'm studying manual tranmissions in school right now and will try to ask questions about your problem hang in there man and take it easy on the shifting because you don't wanna f up you gears or synchros

Anybody have any more ideas? I'm currently looking around at local reputable tranny shops looking at the price ranges. Messaged two so far and awaiting responses.

Anybody have any ideas on what else it may be other than the tranny itself?

Or, anybody know of any reputable tranny shops in the NYC area?

Sorry for a double post, but..

Does it mean anything if this problem does not OCCUR AT ALL if my car is off(ie: perfect shifting when car is not on).
No problem when car is off, and when leaving a gear to go to neutral.

That points to a hydraulic issue. Bleed, bleed, bleed.
