Default decided on a Mcleod RST dual disk Clutch

Hello people.
I decided to go for the Mcleod RST twin clutch for my car. I also got their billet steel Flywheel and have the new TILTON MC from TICK performance.
I cant wait to get on the car hard and be able to shift smooth.

is there any special break-in period for this type of clutch?
anything useful I need to know before I go ahead and istall it?

THANKS TO SPEED INC for hooking me up and answering all my qustions.

Anyone have a transmission jack that I can rent or borrow, I am in the middle of swapping cutches and I cannot for the life of me get the damn tranny linned up. I gave up tonight because I was too frustrated to continue.
Let me know if you know where I can get one for a day please.

Thanks for your order, I'm sure you will like the clutch much as I do mine.

Break in street driving for 500 miles. stop / Go, then race it.

yes I am comming from a LS7 clutch, I was having trouble with it because it was not able to disengage. the clutch does not even have 1000 miles. it looks brand new but it is not enough for the stroker I guess. I went over the hydraulics and swapped the MC for a tilton unit, and a new slave and still had problems once I reved it high.
I cant wait to get it runnning and see how this one holds up.

I recently had Speed Inc. install the a Mcleod RST, Tick Adj. M/C, and a GM slave and the setup is absolutely amazing. Good luck on the install, I guarantee you'll be happy with it.

I will finish the install tomorrow because I had to go ook for the dowel pins that go in between the block and bellhousing.
I am also not able to run it until I receive the Fast 92 intake and Nick Williams TB so I can install it.
I will have it running by Thursday......hope is as good as you'll are saying

hey hey hey,
I just drove the car today and the clutch pedal is very soft, but it seems to grab great.
I am driving it everyday until I can break it in and then do some WOT runs.
the car does buck a little on first and second.. anybody have any idea as to why this is happening?
I also installed a 92/92 fast intake and the throtle is very responsive, me like it.

The pedal pressure is soft but that clutch is stiill like an on/off switch while it's new, that's probably why it's bucking a bit. Also my RPM's drop faster with mine I gotta catch the gears a little quicker

Man I am in love, I cant wait to break it in and beat on it like it is meant to.
Transam98, you are making very good power with your setup, can you tell me more about the engine, the intake, headers, and cam?

That clutch is awesome I've been beatin the absolute **** out of mine and it hasn't skipped a beat . The motor is a pretty simple setup, LME 408 with TFS 225's and a locally ported FAST 90. The cam is a custom grind 246/250 with a max lift of .615 so nothing too wild there and the compression is just under 12:1. Headers are still old 1 3/4 QTP's but were making some custom headers for it this winter and possibly gonna try a different intake setup.
