Default Tick Master Cylinder, Fire Wall seal?

I just got my Tick MC today and realized there is nothing to seal it to the firewall.

What is everyone doing about this?

I only want to have to do this once my access to it once the motor is installed wil be brutal. Thanks for any guidance.

BTW the product looks great and was delivered promtly.

They haven't finalized the design that I'm aware of, but are working on it last I checked.

I reused the gasket from the stock master. I cut the hole larger and finished it off with some RTV silicone.

I have a C5 vette tho, not sure if the F-body seals the same.

Hey, I agree, kind of. I drive mine, well not in a year now.

I still want it sealled for fumes and noise. Mine is just a baby street car Taner, and just visits the track from time to time.

We're working on a billet aluminum bracket right now that will solve the problem completely. We still plan to send out some gaskets for those who already have the cylinder, but the priority right now is to finallize the billet bracket.

You can go ahead and install the master...it isn't that difficult to install with the engine in the car. I installed 3 different billet bracket/master assemblies in my TA yesterday to test fitment in a matter of minutes.

How much will this billet bracket cost? I'd rather do that than worry about a gasket...I just don't know how effectively a gasket would work with what is there.

Ordered mine yesterday 12-8 and Joey said that they would be grandfathering me in at the $319 and I would get the bracket as well. He said they were about a week out and I should see mine the end of next week. Order it now if you were going to get it anyway so you can get the normal price.

The billet brackets are creeping in and the orders are creeping out the door as of today. When we get a constant supply of aluminum brackets and get our orders up to date, we'll start offering them to the guys that already have the kit. If any of you are waiting to install until the billet brackets are available - don't wait! The firewall seal is a very minor detail that wouldn't bother 99% of you. When the billet bracket is available, it'll be easy to swap out.

Theres no need for any bracket on a vette. The bracket is basically an adapter to position the cylinder at the odd angle necessary for the f-body. For the vette, you simply drill two holes in your clutch pedal bracket for mounting purposes and bolt it up. The factory grommet on the vettes can be trimmed slightly and re-used to provide a tight seal just as the factory cylinder provided.

Here is a neak peek at our new CNC Brackets: https://ls1tech.com/forums/manual-tr...rformance.html

I'll post up a procedure for swapping brackets to the guys who currently have the kit very soon.
