Default Best clutch for t56?

I got a 99 z28 and its got 76000 miles on it and i'm about to replace the clutch. Who makes the best clutch for the least amount of money? or what would you recomend? I would like to spend $400 or less!

I prefer the Ram HD, but all in all it depends on your setup/future goals. Popular choices are Centerforce, LS7, Spec Stg. 2 and 3. These all have good to fairly good driveability manners.

Also when you buy your clutch, when you have it installed do the drill mod (search) since yours is a '99. It'll help you.

I have used the LS7 with great results. It is the best clutch for the price if your gonna stay under 450 rwhp IMO. I will be stepping it up to a Monster Stage 3 clutch in the next week or so.

I like the LS7 clutch (use it in my F-body), but I'm probably at the limit of what it could hold. When it goes, I'll be switching to a RAM twin disc. But the LS7 clutch is more than capable of your application.

Whatever clutch you use, make sure you bleed your clutch fluid regularly, especially if you have headers. The heat from headers running near the clutch line tends to burn up the fluid, pressure at the slave drops off, clutch doesn't disengage all the way, and you end up frying your synchros.
