Default Has anyone had their remote bleeder leak?

Just installed mine and tightened it down according to directions but now have clutch fluid everywhere inside of bellhousing. The directions specifically say not to overtorque. Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Troy

Not sure what this means but the pedal holds pressure fine with no leaks until I start up the car, then its leak city and pedal on the floor....

haha, man you've got me stumped... even pumping up the clutch to build pressure, holds fluid until the car is turned on? you sure its not transmission fluid from a bad front seal, or bad rear main just gushing when the engine is on?

I have one of those remote bleeders and mine does not have that problem, are you loosing pressure from the pedal or are you just seeing the fluid under the tranny leak

thanks for the replies.. I was going to say that its definitely clutch pressure but I did put a new rear main seal on and did an oil change as well. The fluid didn't feel like oil when i cleaned it up and i can't see how anything iwth the rear main seal would cause my pedal to hit the floor... hmm....

I'm pulling the slave tomorrow, anyway to check it out of the car to see if its bad?

bingo.

dunno why your clutch hit the floor though, interesting... but on the safe side, just like every thread i reply to in this section of the forum, i will recommend an adjustable master cylinder as the blanket-fix for every clutch/hydraulic problem ever. spring popped out of your clutch disk? adjustable master will fix it! flywheel flew off the car and cut off your leg? adjustable master cylinder!! haha. no but seriously.

Well it turns out it was probably my fault but it may have been a leak from the bleeder. I tightened up the fitting that attaches to the slave, then the bleeder was tightened, but I didn't tighten it where the hose meets the slave adapter. Must have been the lengthy instructions.... Anyway, its a good unit but i went back to the original bleeder and a mityvac and is seems to work great. Thanks for the replies..

I was told that all the other fittings were sealed and didnt require to be tightened...the instructions dont mention checking the other connections. But I did anyway.

I havent had issues with mine, but I definetly see the possibility of having leaks. Almost makes me want to TIG an -an fitting on the slave and connecting the line with that. If you could get to the slave fitting without pulling the trans, it wouldnt be so bad. But it makes me nervous knowing that something could loosen up in there, and Ide have to pull the whole mess apart to fix it.

Glad you got it fixed!!

J.
