Default Tick Master Cylinder Review/ Install Tips

Got my Tick master cylinder the other day and started to install it that night. I have a few added suggestions for people who are going to be installing one.

First they say to pull the wire harness out of the way........there is a small clip that holds the harness to the back of the driver side shock tower that needs to be undone so the wire harness can be moved easier

After you get the bolts in don't tighten them all the way. On my camaro I needed them to be loose so I could thread on the rest of the rod. I tried to tighten bolts then install rod, but it kept hitting the clutch pedal stop.

Got to drive the car last night but it was wet out so no wot.....but I have no dragging when reving car to 6k.....it also shifts alot smoother

Petal is slightly stiffer, but it doesn't bother me.

U don't HAVE to move the harness, there are ways.
I just wish i could get the fire wall plug, i've had mine since they came out. I HATE the road noise!!!!!!!
It's not that loud, i just notice every little thing lol.
Good luck.....should work excellent mine does NO complaints...except for the plug.

Road noise means you don't have new bracket......which is fairly large and I HAD to move wire harness out of the way

Everything. The factory is junk and even with the drill mod doesn't flow enough fluid and in the long run wears on the trans and clutch components. Also, this is adjustable.

It flows more fluid so it actually releases the clutch fully.......if you have a 6-speed, you want one

nope no missed shifts, and clutch always feels the same (firm) after pulling through a gear

As you can tell from the thread on my car, I have put alot of time and money in this SS and this is one of the best mods I have put on........If you have a 6-speed and want it to shift/drive like it was supposed to, get a Tick master........you will love it

SWEET......I ordered mine a week or so ago and its on the way....Can't wait to get it in. My tranny has been VERY inconsistant shifting since I bought it at 27k miles, got 38k on it now. I will be happy when I can confidently leave the throttle on the wood and yank the next gear out of it, especially on the hose.....

Thanks for the info Afast! I am so glad to see that Tick is offering this piece. I just ordered one and can't wait to feel some smoother, consistent shifting. The crappy shifting has always been a sore spot with me since I purchased this car new. That and the crappy 10 bolt rearend.
