Default will an ls7 clutch work here? suggestions?

whats up guys!

so my stock clutch is fubar'd i think, and looking at ls7 clutch, my car is basically stock (3.73gears/FTRA/lid/pulley) with a 100 wet shot of nitrous now, but i'd like to put in a clutch that could take full boltons/228cam/150shot

i dont really ever take the car to the track and i rarely spray the nitrous, i also commute in my car and its my only car, so i need something that will last a long time. i dont really car how streetable it is too.

the problem is that i dont want to spend a ton of money, i know thats the classic speed question, but my clutch budget is in the 600$ range since with all the other parts i need to install that basically puts me at my 1000$ budget, and i wish i could afford some sik twin disk or something but thats just not in the budget right now.

so that basically leaves me with SPEC clutches (heard too much bad stuff and dont want to shim it) and the ls7 clutch

so my question is: will the ls7 clutch put up with boltons/228cam/150 shot every now and then?

i know thats more then the clutch is rated for but my stock clutch holds 320rwhp+100shot just fine!

also, the most traction the car will ever have is nitto drag radials and will be used on the street.

I've had my LS7 for several thousand miles now and I LOVE IT. When I first got it I could smell it burning a little after WOT runs but it never does it anymore I think it was just breaking in. If you drove the car you would think it was the stock clutch, it feels perfect, but its grabs hard when you need it too. I expect it to last a long time seeing as its OEM equipment, but only time will tell. I think I got mine for like 420 or something when scoggin d was having a sale, not sure what it is now though.

thats awesome man, if the ls7 clutch will reliably hold you guy's 500rwhp cars that put that power out all the time, and you can rip 1.6 60ft's on slicks then i'm sure this clutch will hold my occasionally nitroused street tire car! so that settles it, i also see that if you dont buy the stock flywheel that takes off 200$ off the ls7 clutch kit price and then if the fidanza flywheel is only 319$ or so thats not much cost for that upgrade, so thats what i'll do, i'm going to use the TICK adjustable master cylinder too, that sticky cluthc pedal ***** that everyone seems to have worries me...

thanks, this site kicks A$$ !!

I had the LS7 clutch in my CETA and loved it. She put down 470+ and then I was hitting it with a 150 shot from a TNT F2. I put the car through ALOT of abuse and the clutch never slipped. The 60ft times were in the 1.7x range on Hoosier QTPs with a soft launch and short shifting at 6100.
