Default Got my Tick master cylinder installed....

So far, so good. I made 4 passes out on the street this morning from a dig all the way through even into 5th, no missed shifts, shifting at 6600+. I even tried to duplicate my old problem of the sticking pedal and mushy 1-2 shift after leaving from a dead stop and "sliding" the clutch at around 4k.. This would almost ALWAYS make the clutch pedal stick, or at least semi stick about halfway in its travel and make it impossible to make the 1-2 shift because the pedal would be spongy....NO PROBLEMS whatsoever. I did this back to back, along with some 4k dumps, not even a hickup outta the clutch.

I will report back after further testing. I am supposed to go race a buddy today with a blown 5.0 stang, this will be a good test for the clutch since we will be doing burnouts, then the launch from a dig.

Right now, I am pretty happy with it. The MC was a PITA to install, took me about 9hrs yesterday but it was worth it. At this point, I recommend this MC.

I love my MC from tick it solved all the problems, at worst it had to be adjusted out a few turns but works mint. Me and another person, it took 3 hours from start to test drive, getting it in there was a PITA since harnesses are too ****** short!

Yeah what took me so F'n long was getting the bitch down in there under the brake booster. That thick *** harness would not budge, after about 2 hrs of trying to get it in, I found the clip that holds the harness to the inner fender and snapped that bastard off so the harness would SLIGHTLY move. My other obstacle was the previous owner had drilled two holes in the fire wall RIGHT by the old slave cylinder to run wiring for the nitrous kit, well guess what? those two wire looms he ran were RIGHT in the way of getting the big *** billet bracket in there, the wires were too short to pull out of the way so I had to work around them. After I finally got it in and bolted up, I started the bleeding process which took me about an hour or so. I would say a total of 3-4 hrs to mount the unit, another hr to install the rod and adjust it out right, another hr to bleed it, then a couple of short test drives/ adjustments, then reinstall all the dash panels. I think I got started around 1pm and was washing my hands a 8:45pm.....so maybe 8 hrs total but I do work slow....

We didn't get to race, ****** never called me back. We will get it on sometime this weekend though. I want to really test this thing out before I go to the track. Last two trips to the track sucked for me......after the first burnout and weak launch, it would barely shift. On pass 2, no shifts.... Hopefully that is a thing of the past now. Only thing that sucked is, why did it take someone 10yrs to figure this problem out?? Good job Tick Perf.

I thought I read that Tick had some initial issues with the F-body version, something about a mounting bracket. Could someone please clarify. I've got a Mcleod single disc and their adjustable master and still have issues. This would be a nice mod for sure.

Their original design didn't seal to the firewall, so you got some extra engine noise into the cabin once installed. They have since revised the bracket, and it is now made from billet aluminum that eliminates this problem completely.

If this is what you were waiting on, stop...order it now.

So any idea if the $339 price includes the new billet bracket?

It does include the new bracket. I'll post a thread in a minute that has Joey stating this. Mine hasn't shipped yet, so I can't prove it first hand.

Actually it states it on their website that it comes with the CNC bracket:
http://www.tick-performance.com/tick...dy/hydraulics/

Our new Tick Performance Adjustable Master Cylinder Kit will ship complete with everything needed to install, including: our custom Tilton Adjustable Master Cylinder, our new Unrestricted and Heat-Wrapped Clutch Hydraulic Line (eliminating the need for the "drill mod"), all necessary hardware, F-Body specific Billet CNC Aluminum mounting bracket for a complete seal, and easy to understand instructions.
