Default Monster Clutch- Stage 3 or 4???

I am thinking about ordering a monster clutch very soon, hopefully today. I'm not sure if I should go with a stage 3 or 4. The 3 is rated at 700 ft/lbs tq and the 4 is rated at 775 ft/lbs tq.

I'm having a 418 stroker put in this week. Shooting for around the 500/500 wheel mark. Not sure where it will come out at though. Since my tranny is down and clutch is apart, I think now is the time to swap out the LS7 clutch. I don't think the LS7 will hold up to this power.

I only plan to run at the track a few times per year. Mainly going to be driven a few days a week, hard...

Any opinions?

Give em a call. Everyone says they're 110% willing to assist. I'm sure they'll point you in the correct direction. Final answer will really depend on your car's weight and how much power you're making if I had to guess.

Stage 3 sounds good for what you need.... I have it in my car and will be making around 550 wheel. It is a great DD clutch, and the pedal is very close to stock feeling.

I forgot to mention I plan (so far) to buy their stage 3 setup for my car. Hoping for 450WHP NA and 600WHP on the spray.

Thanks all! I just ordered the stage III. I tried calling, but had to leave a msg. I don't think they were open yet. Still no response to my PM, or this thread, and no return phone call yet. Hopefully they will call or respond soon. If I went with the stage 3, and should have gone stage 4, I'd like to be able to make the change before the order gets processed.

Clutch arrived at the shop this morning. Shipped the same day I placed my order. That is always nice to see! I also got a return phone call shortly after I placed my order. He apologized for not returning my call earlier and saw I placed an order. So he just wanted to make sure I got what I needed. He answered my questions and we both agreed on the stage III for my needs. Top notch customer service, so far...

Now we'll just have to wait and see how this MONSTER of a clutch performs

If you won't something that will last you for a while then I'd recommend our Level 5. The Level 4 would work, however, sintered iron is a very aggressive material and I just wouldn't recommend it for a street application.

It'll have a 12 month warranty, even if you take it to the track.

Kinda pricey, Why should I consider this over a spec or mcleod twin disc? How strong is that 12 month warranty and what is not covered? Car will see alot of Auto x and road course racing this year. Will you guys have a rep at the Race and performance expo in IL this month?

If you look at the components that are included with our setups and compare them to other companies you'll see that the pricing is actually very competitive.

I can't really compare my single disc clutch to another manufacturers twin disc, that's an apples-to-orange comparison. I can tell you that my clutch will take what it's rated at when driven properly and not unnecesarily abused.

The 12 month warranty covers any manufacturer defects, no questions asked. It does not cover wear, improper installation, or ignorance.

We will not have a rep at the expo in IL, next year we will be heavily involved in all of the events, expos, and shows that involve automotive performance parts.

Let me know if you have any more questions,

You obviously dont have access to VSI or Motorstate....

Can you get just the Pressure plate and clutch disc? Are they compatable with Spec flywheels or factory flywheels?

No, we do not sell any of our components individually. All of our components are rated and tested as packages, that's how we back them and that is how we sell them.

I apologize for the inconvenience, let me know if there is anything else I can do for you.
