messed up shifter cup pics inside

Default messed up shifter cup pics inside

well i posted this thread https://ls1tech.com/forums/manual-tr...3rd-today.html and my shifts felt very sloppy so i decided to remove the shifter and look and the cup and look what i found




this prob is the cause of me not being able to hit 3rd right?

They are cheap to replace. Not real likey on missing third tho.

Hitting third at WOT? I replaced the Master cylinder and have not missed it since then.

They are the same as a T5 . There are bronze versions of this isolator cup or you can simply get replacement ones .

Not sure in NYC locally . Do you have any transmission parts suppliers in your area ?

na not that i know of also could this be the reason i was missing 3rd it felt like i was in between 1st and 3rd and it would just rev up

i just ordered a bronze one online how do i put the new one in with epoxy or ?

I use black silicone to glue it in but you can just slip it in and drop the shifter on . Its not going anywhere . I glue them in so they won't fall out in the shipping process .

If you tell a GM dealer you need one for an 80s F-body 5spd, you can buy it separate. Their listings for T56 cars have it with the offset block at higher cost.
