Default Clutch Pedal Spring

Well, I believe I heard the dreaded metallic pop of the clutch pedal spring breaking...again. I haven't gotten under there to check yet, but I'm pretty sure that's what it was. Am I the only one going through these things like crazy? Am I the only one who bothers to change them? LOL

For a part the should take about 5 minutes to replace, I always end up with it for like 45 minutes because I get frustrated and then everything goes wrong

Anyone else?

Not to mention it's a little spring that costs like $25-30 or something ridiculous like that. My second one broke and I haven't fixed it yet. I want to, but then I think about the fact that it will break again in like two weeks and I get discouraged from spending the time and money.

You're lucky this one lasted as long as it did.

LOL, yeah but I've replaced it twice already. They seem to get about 10,000 miles and then they break.

On the pivoting part of the clutch pedal.

Mine broke over a year ago and I never replaced it. I have a Tick MC and in the instructions it actually says to remove it for a better pedal feel.

This is not the spring on the slave correct. I have never seen a spring on my clutch pedal. I may have to go see what you are talking about. Would this cause the clutch pedal pop on the way out?

No, chances are that a pop would be a master cylinder problem. I believe the spring is just used as an assist to keep the pedal out all the way. Without the spring it feels like there is a slight amount of play at the top, but otherwise it feels fine.

Those springs are useless. I replaced it once and it broke again. You dont need it!!
