Default First time mityvac user here. Hate to start new thread.

Ok guys my clutch hydraulics have plagued me ever since my engine was put into my car. It wont go into first easily at all and grinds like nobody's business. I just bought and installed the Tick adjustable MC and still grinding. I was told I still needed to bleed the system. Well I went and rented the mityvac read the instructions as I've never used anything like it before. I put it into place and started squeezing. Never saw any bubbles but as I was squeezing the plastic line leading from the vac to the clutch reservoir collapsed. I wasn't even at 15" of vacuum yet.

This **** is getting on my damn nerves, so some help on how to use this damn thing would be great.

All my stuff is installed, thats showing how to bench bleed everything. I would've never thought a t56 was this much of a PITA.

Yep, the hydraulics can be fussy on these cars.

How is your transmission, clutch and slave cylinder ?

I have a Tick m/c as well. Those take so much fluid that you can gravity bleed them. I also have a Mity-vac and never had much luck with it.

Everytime I've installed a new master cylinder, I've bench bled without the Mity-vac. Once I have it bench bled, I just hook it up to the slave pump the peddle a few times and that's it.

After much headache and pulling the tranny out about six times, I found something that works for me.

The best formula seems to be, bench bleed the m/c regardless of what type it is or get a pre-bled GM unit.

Also, why not try lengthing the the m/c rod just a little bit.

Sometimes dirty boiled over fluid reaks havok too.

Well the fluid thats in it is maybe 5-600miles used. The pedal is about even with the break pedal and it didn't make any difference from where it was to where its at now, which was about an inch.

What clutch are you running ?

If you've done everything you can do, maybe it's time to contact the company that rebuilt your transmission ?

I've never bled it right. I always pumped and opened bleeder valve. Now I read about this mity vac and the correct way to bleed the sytem, so I will try both. I have the LS7 clutch kit.

I just put in a new LS7 clutch kit too. So far so good.

Some say open the bleeder valve and than push or some say push the peddle down and open bleeder. The both work as long as you don't let the peddle back up while the bleeder is open.

I hope you get that beast fixed.
