Alright how long do you guys think the average person would take to change a slave cyl.? It would be in a garage on a lift about 6ft in the air, drop the tranny, change the slave, put the tranny back up. How long and how hard is it to do this on average?

 

I could get this done on jack stands by my self in my garage in about 8 hrs.

 

lol that wasn't exactly the news I was looking for ahahah. So if you could do it on jack stands in about 8hours, figure about 4if you had the car in the air on a lift right?

 

gotta take breaks, beer and have clean everything.

 

With a lift and tranny jack, i did a clutch swap in about 5hrs.

I figured this would be as good a place as any to ask this, I was wondering if there are any upgrade replacements for slave cylinders or is there only OEM replacement?

 

Ram, Rhino are two that I know of. Not sure if they're any better than OEM.

id say start to finish 3hrs its really not that bad ive pulled about 3 or 4 f body trannys

 

ya im sure. but i had a buddy with me but he tore his acl so i did most of the work.

Wow..I had my trans out in about 25 min...and its just as easy to get back in...you guys need to build 350zs haha

 

Yeah, on a lift, with a good impact and swivel extensions, about an hour to get it out, and an hour to get it back in.

 

Agreed. I had never dropped mine before and had it on the shop floor in 45 mins. Just as easy to get it back in.

 

I have a Rhino slave in mine and I havent had any issues with it.
