Default Spec Stage III - Daily Driver - Master question

With a Spec III and stock 3.42 gears on a daily driver, do you think an adjustable master is needed? Should I spend the extra $$?

thanks,
Crowley

I was wondering the same questions. Icalled Spec today and talked with Dave, he said the stock OEM 2001 or new is recommended.

Ive been using stock master I my 97 for about 2000 miles now and I love it. Engagement point is perfect way up top for quicker shifts

I updated to the new GM stuff and have about 30 passes and no issues. daily driving is fine. I would not spenf the $$ on an adjustable master. JMO

Spec also recomends using the Shim they include with the clutch package to raise your engagement point a bit. I don't know if it was the new master and slave or the shim, but after installing the spec clutch, the trans shifts SOOOO much better than with the stock clutch. It is easier to put in and out of gear. Almost as if the stock clutch was not disengaging completely. IMO i do not think an adjustable master will be needed, unless you find that your engagement point is at one extreem high or low after your clutch install.
