Spec 2 life span
Spec 2 life span how long do spec 2s normally last when daily driven? iv had mine in for about a year and a half and the friction point seems kinda high all of the sudden
Elky, Clutch life is dependent on a number of factors. These include driving style, the stage you chose relative to the power the car makes, flatness of surfaces used in conjunction with the clutch (flywheel), and the type of usage the car sees. That being the case there will always those that get more life from and unit and those that get less. Has anything else changed relative to the higher engagement point? Does the pedal have consistent effort and feel? If you will provide a bit more info I will be happy to assit you further. Thanks,
I have a SPEC2+ atm that I have put about 8k miles on, so far so good. Makes a screaching(sp) sound (like when you scoot back in your chair on a wood floor) in the mornings when cold, but engages fine.
I definitely agree with Jeremy when he says depending on how your drive. Especially during the break in process. Mine engages high, but I can't adjust the the tick any further w/o having lmr remove the shim for the slave.

It is also worth noting that our new Super-Single 12" Kits have a higher capacity than the earlier 11" units and that they have less pedal effort as well. My SPEC has lasted a while with my driving. It doesn't get driven a whole lot but I go out and "play" in it atleast once or twice a week. Now with the new stuff Im really going to see what its made of. LOL.
