clutch for 1000rwhp?
ive had a few friends with high hp Fbodies. one being an F1 procharger firehawk who has tried the spec twin disc and has had no luck. The other with an S88 408 camaro who tried the organic twin disc clutch and the literally blew it up. i was just curious to what if any out there are up to the test fot this kind of hp behind a 6 speed car. Taking into considreation the car would be mostly street driven and roll raced. barely any track time.

haha i new that was coming. lol my friend with the S88 did go with a turbo 400. I just really want the car a stick. Autos just arent the best for driving around lol. if the car was a race car it would be no question. so my question still stands is ther a clutch out there? lol

The street twin, with the upgrade material...It will hold. Just call them direct on monday... I make over 1100rwhp with zero issues, and spin the thing over 8000rpm... I would not bother using anything else, you will just be wasting money and time.

what twin setup are you guys running. What material? I just bought a twin setup that is supposed to be good to 1200 hp but I need to check on what material it is. Surely they don't use organic material for a hp number like that!? For those of you that are running the mcleod twin: did you upgrade the master cylinder or running the stock setup. I'd would like to hear how it worked out either way you are running the clutch. Thanks Chris

I have ran both the highest trims, don't remember the designations... the iron and the one right below it, both are very streetable and hold way into the four digits at the wheel

my buddy with the F1 has gone through 2 of them in one season and is blowing through the one thats in it now, he is running the one that is said to be good to 1200 hp. My friend who blew up teh mcleoud cluth was on the street clutch with there new manufsctured master. i dont think his was the upgraded material though it was the standard composit material.

your talking about their new improved master cylinder (mcleod) I knew they had their share of problems before but there have been a couple people say that they have fixed the problem. Now the new problem is that they are out of stock! I had to order mine without the mc. Tiago were you on the stock master or the mcleod?

what kind of t56 are you running that will survive that level of power at the track? thats my question, there are a bunch of clutches that will hold that power but i never heard of any t56 holding that much power on the track.

I had a Textralia Twin that wouldn't hold, so I sent it in to Textralia and they rebuilt it into a triple for 500.00, which included a new, custom machined slave. It's holding great so far. It's a tough pedal though. I have friends running the Mcleod with great success and much less pedal effort, but I have no personal experience with Mcleod.
3 gear is what's going to blow up on this car. Not a matter of if, but when. I recommend the T-56 magnum/T6060 from a new 2010 Camaro. The gears, shafts, bearings are bigger and stronger, no more sliders. That's what I upgraded to after grenading my stage 5 (3rd gear of course). I track my car 1/4mi and 1/8mi too.

We offer 4 different trim levels. I have provided a link below with info on the cost and capacity of each.

Z28...I am not sure who your friend is or if he has contacted us (though I assume that he would have). If you want to contact me about this or have him drop me a line I will be happy to look over his situation). My first thought relative to the fact that he has gone through two kits is that he has an issue with his set-up and that the bearing may be riding the diaphragm thusly keeping the clutch released. I have a number of customers that have great durability with the Super-Twin. In fact I am just starting to see the original Test units that we released back in 2006/2007 trickle back in for rebuilds. Let me know a bit more about your friends situation and I will be happy to assist. Thanks,
