The T45 is a decent transmission but far from what I would consider a performance unit. The internals are close in size to the T56 but the units have been plagued with shift related problems since they hit the market in 96. For an economical over drive, its not a bad option but I wouldn't recommend one for something being raced or driven hard.

Am I the only person reading this thread that thinks flash68 would be the first guy to go bat s--t crazy when some rushed to market product didn't deliver as promised, regardless of whether or not it provided options?

However, McLeod sure does bring to market a lot of good products for swaps and other market needs to which we wouldn't otherwise have access. I appreciate Billy keeping info and pics coming.

Joe,
I couldn't agree with you more. I've personally driven a car with a Keisler RS 600 and I can say it's the best shifting muscle car transmission I've ever driven. It shifts better than a classic Muncie, t56, tko600, Richmond or T10.
As for strength, we all know that just about any transmission can be broken given the right power and combination of other parts.
But let's not hyjack this thread. Back to discussing the McLeod transmission.
