Default Spec III, are they SFI approved?

I used the search feature and couldn't find any info regarding this. Any ideas?

They are listed on SFI's website but that doesnt mean the LS1 Spec III is rated.

The only one that I know for sure is SFI rated is Ram, because mine has the stickers on it.

I'd hate to have a clutch blow up and take my legs off

Me too, you should also consider getting a scatter blanket for it. Its like a bullet proof vest for your bellhousing.

The spec 3 that I have is sfi certified I believe. I'd have to check when I get home. The problem though, is that in order to be nhra legal in the 11's or lower i think, you need an sfi approved belhousing (when using a manual). The blankets are only ok for auto cars. You can get a blanket from these guys (look at the bottom of the page)
link to blanket

It would definitely be a safety improvement, but I don't thinks it's ok for nhra rules. I don't know how often they check though. Mcloed is coming out with a sfi bellhousing for the ls1/t56, but it's spendy.
