If the ARP bolts are the same dimensionally as the OE bolts there shouldn't be an issue. Of course the key is to check them to determine that they are in fact the same. If they were not this could affect clutch release and thus overall function.

If the center of the disc were contacting the bolts you would generally see the disc bend and this could affect release. Have you looked at the bolts to determine if they have had contact with the disc? Or vice-versa?

most likely its related to bleading. most cases are. arp bolts are meant to replace gm bolts. so i know arp must have do R&D to verify that there bolts will not bother anything else. clutch companies IMO need to make products based on what the customers are doing. most people on here opt out and get strong fasteners. so the clutch companies need to take that in mind. if they tell you that you need to use gm bolts, and they didnt put that on their instructions, then thats bad IMO. now you have to take out the tranny and check, just because they planted that seed of doubt in you mind.

I just installed a aluminum LS7 flywheel and clutch package from SDPC with the ARP bolts; I've had no problems with the ARP bolts at all.

I think the question becomes whether or not you got the same bolt's as everyone else. Of course hydraulics are a common and known point of issue on these cars and they will certainly affect release. If the slave or master is weak it can lead to less than complete actuation/release. If you have noticed a difference when bleeding (or when pumping the pedal) then this evidences a hydraulic issue. We sell an adjustable OE type master if you are interested. Let me know and I will be happy to assist you. Thanks,

If you are getting through all the other gears fine I would stop looking at the clutch. Most likely something in the tranny (reverse lock out solenoid). Might want to check it. I haven't ever heard of anyone having a problem w/ arp bolts.
