Default What rhp #s is your LS7 clutch holding?

Due to cash, the season and plain pissed at Centerfarse, I had to go with a LS7 clutch. Not too happy about it but from what I've read it seems like it may do ok.

Still though I want to hear of some RHP numbers of how the LS7 clutch is holding up. Honestly, I'd like to hear high 450+ figures since I have 500rwhp. I'm sure H/C guys it holds up real well.

After 1k (500 break in) 2 dyno runs and 1 qtr pass the clutch fried. Didn't make it to 3rd gear and just smoked up!!

Mine put down close to 475 on motor and then it was hit with a TNT 150 shot. Never had a single problem with the LS7 setup

That's great! I just dropped my trans and saw the carnage. That clutch didn't hold for crap. There were parts of the clutch everywhere. Looks like it had been in there for thousands of miles not just 1k. I hope to be putting in that clutch by this weekend.

Anyone else??

My LS7 clutch has been on the car almost 3 years and 30k miles. Over 25k of those miles were with my TT set-up. When it first got dynoed it put down 508rwhp. And this past summer I won a dyno challenge at a local shop and put down 538rwhp. I DD the car in the warmer months and take it to the occasional track rental. Never had a problem with it. But I have kept it on street tires due to still having a 10 bolt. Those may be what is saving my drivetrain.

Yeah street tires are the key. Once I had DRs on it 1 and 2 is all it had! I'll still try a pass once I get it in...what's the break in mileage?

Anything over 550 rwhp and it will not last too long...

I'm sitting right at 500 so it may last a good bit. Besides its a cheaper replacement.

Wow 610 and no WOT shifting...what's the fun in that? Mine seemed ok until the track pass and didn't even make it...guess I'll have to stay at 500ish rhp. It's getting old dropping the trans.
