Based on what I have experienced. If your blowing up clutches there are a few basic reasons....

1) Part Defects
2) Install Error
3) Break in Error (if applicable)
4) Internal/External Transmission Damage
5) Faulty Hydraulics/Poor Bleeding

To be honest with you, IF you have not verified the specs of the transmission parts, then I would be doing that next. A total break down and verification.

IF the trans passes the inspection, then its a diff between picking a clutch that is insufficent for the power your car is making or your driving style is pushing the clutch past it's limits.

Based on your combo a Textralia oz-700 would be perfect but again, get that trans checked out before blowing more $$$$.

You got a sound that is abnormal and from the way you say it, it's pretty extreme..yet you chose to drive the car.

You sir fucked that one up.

Tear it down..don't **** around this time, and start looking at everything..these guys here gave some good info.

Hell from the sound of some of the SSI ones..I would check to make sure it's NOT an LT1 Input Shaft..

As stated, it probably wasnt a good idea to continue driving the car after you heard the noise. Either way, keep us updated on parts inspections and possible culprits!

If i were you , I would call the guys at monster since its there clutch this time. You are the first on the board having this problem with a monster so its probably not the clutch, and you also blew up 3 others.

I would just like to thank everyone for the advice. It's extremely valuable and helpful to have extra insight. It seems to me that the tranny needs to be carefully scrutinized. I spoke with Monster this morning and had my mechanic send them photos. Awaiting the results, i guess.

Naturally, isn't that the point of synchronized transmissions? I drove two different GM cars, one with a t5, one with a t56 for five years or more before I found out about rev matching. Its not some mandatory thing you have to do. Sure its easier on all the parts, but its not like if you don't do it your transmission or clutch is going to instantly **** out. If you teach someone how to drive a stick on a modern day car, are you trying to get them to freaking heel-toe at the same time? I doubt it, if it were the case no one would have the patience for that. Now if it were 1955 or something, then I guess people would have to figure it out so they could drive at all.

His is definatley something different..expecially if he just installs everything and it starts off sounding like something trying to beat it's way out.

The point of the Synchro's is to being everything to the same speed to help the gear change..rev-matching helps the over-all drivetrain and comfort of the ride. I've let the Clutch out on mine too fast sometimes without rev-matching and ended up breaking the ***-end loose before the tires caught up..lol

Wow..I had a problem with my old SPEC STAGE III twice. The first one had the clutch disk melt and fuse to the flywheel and the 2nd one had the springs blow-apart on the clutch disk and fingers break off the pressure plate. My Ram 6130 VDS clutch has has great though, i thought the Monsters were good too?

*Update*
Tranny checked out OK. Input shaft was measured and was straight. No pinched lines, all parts look new. Monster shipped out a new clutch disc to replace the old one. Now, the car does have a vibration when I am driving sometimes. I'm thinking this may have something to do with it. Maybe the vibration is causing something, the input shaft maybe?, to chunk the disc. I'm not sure where the vibration is coming from (or I'd fix it) but it is coming through the center of the car. Tranny cross member or something? These are all things I'm sure he checked out but I'll pursue again. I also should say I do have a small crack in my bellhousing. It's on the upper right portion. Not bad at all. Everyone I've talked to says, "it shouldn't be a problem," "its fine." I'm wondering if i should spring for a new bellhousing just to be safe? Thoughts before I slap another disc back in there and give it another go?

I don't blip my downshifts. I don't really try to downshift much at all anyway (high rpm). I don't really drive the car very hard.

Is your Flywheel Balanced?

How bad is the crack on the Bell Housing?

Flywheel is balanced. The crack is not bad, but it is up by a bolt hole.. Do you think it could be causing the bellhousing to flex? I just saw that Tick has stock replacements for like $200. So..I think I'm just gonna get one to be safe.
