SNL Performance and Tick... stood behind their products, again!
The last paragraph sums it all up.
So less than 9 months ago I replaced the stock clutch parts with Monster LVL 3 w/ 18lb flywheel, new gm bolts, new pilot bearing, new gm slave/tob, and new Tick MC w/ bleeder line. I installed it in my garage and drove it with no problems for about 8 months. I started having engagement issues that rapidly got worse. At first, it was notchy to put into all gears and started growling from a stop like the clutch wasn't disengaging all the way. Less than a week later, I literally had to muscle it in and out of every gear and could feel it dragging as I'm driving.
I thought I had a defective unit, called Steve @ SNL, and went ahead and bought a new pressure plate and clutch disc along with a new Tick MC, gm slave/tob, and pilot bearing. I work at a body shop and we take all our cars to this place to get repaired. Once the shop (T3 in Killeen, all owners you have been warned) took it apart they "confirmed" the pp,disc, slave, and mc were all bad and were replaced with my new parts. They also machined the flywheel due to huge heat spots.
Once the car was back together it drove ok, very notchy to get into 1st and reverse and I could literally hear the disc rubbing while the clutch pedal was down. So, I bring it back to the shop and tell them the problems. I'm told "all we need was charge you $450 to put the clutch in, we didn't do anything else". Naturally there were some other things that were said to talk their way out of not going back into the tranny. After arguing, his conclusion was since I had "engagement" issues that it has to be the transmission.... I played his game and took it to 3 other shops, asked them to drive the car and tell me what's wrong with it. Obviously it's not the tranny and faulty clutch install so I go back to T3, explain, and I get the cold shoulder... "can't do it today"... "will call you Friday and see if we have openings"... "I still don't know what's wrong with it".... more bullshit.
I been up Steve's *** about my clutch and how it's not working and I need to know what to do. Last Tuesday he returned my call and explained everything to me on how it wasn't their clutch and just a faulty install. Here's the shocker, he asked to come in Friday morning so he can take it apart and see what's going on at no charge to me! Of course by this time even 2 1/2 hours away to Forth Worth is worth it!
Jason gets the tranny out and found numerous problems. GM slave is old design and TOB doesn't sit flush on slave, no bolts had loctite on them, pilot bearing installed incorrectly, flywheel had too much taken off, Tick MC improperly adjusted, speed bleeder line cut, and missing bellhousing bolt. Steve replaced everything but the pressure plate and clutch disc (bought a week ago), reinstalled the tranny, and adjusted the MC for free. I have zero issues now and would to thank SNL again for the outstanding service and helping build a better relationship with their customers! I don't see anybody else standing behind clutches...

Man...sounds like you got hosed by the shop that first installed the clutch. Glad to hear they (SNL Performance) stepped up and really took care of you - it sounds to me like they went above and beyond to make sure you were taken care of.
It is amazing how overlooking little things can completely screw up a clutch install. I'm not the foremost expert on installing clutches, but I just don't trust many people at all to work on my car. I'll be installing my **** with my own two hands, cussing included free of charge.

Thank you for the kind words Ryan!
I was more than shocked to see all the issues with the install... it was scary to say the least. Let me know when you are ready for more mods!!

That's awesome. I actually can't wait to be able to give my money to SNL/Monster! Very stand up, guys.
Haha, I feel you man

Plus 1 for Monster clutches. I love my stage 3 and cant stop raving about it.
And to the OP, I know how you feel man. When I first bought my SS it needed a clutch so I paid and bought a spec 3 and had the dealerships local guy do the install free of charge. Well long story short he also installed the slave/tob wrong and caused my clutch to burn up pretty quick.

Geez, what's up with these people charging others money to install a clutch so half-assed?
It's not like clutches are that hard damnit!
BTW, love my Monster still!
Thing is is that it's been almost a year since I installed it, warranty is about up, and haven't driven it a whole lot.
Car is about to go in storage for a year so I can go to Korea...again.
