Spec Stage 3 with stock master and slave?
I will be going with a Spec Stage 3 for my H/C setup, and was just curious if anyone is running this clutch with their stock master and slave. My car is a 98, what exactly is different about the updated hydraulics.

Thanks i can get the slave and master at a pretty good price so i will upgrade those as well. I see there is another thread that SLP has new oem flywheels for like $50, what kind of flywheel would you go with, a new oem or the spec billet flywheel. I know the spec will be stronger but has anyone had problems with the stock flywheel cracking/breaking. Once i get all of this installed i really dont want to have to pull the tranny back out and fix something else. Thanks

I didn't do the drill mod on mine with the stock 01 hydraulics and the clutch is still grabbing strong after 20,000 miles of brutal driving and 20-30 6000rpm clutch dumps spraying a 175 shot out of the hole (575ish rwhp off the line) I don't plan on doing the drill mod for my next clutch either.

My '99 is in the shop right now with bad hydraulics (black hydraulic fluid is apparently not good...). The tranny guy is pricing out new master and slave. I have found tons of info on the web on clutch types and parts, but not hydraulics. I have seen the drill mod webpage as well. What type of hydraulics should I get (adjustable or not) and who makes them? Are the '01 and later stock hydraulics better than the '99 stock? I also still have the stock clutch, so I might do an upgrade while he's got the cover off... any advice. I haven't been happy with the stock clutch/hydraulics - popping the clutch at medium/high rpm in 1st just slips forever...

Yeah i just ordered my Spec Stage 3 with their billet flywheel. I am also going to order a 02 slave but i am still not sure on the master. My car is a 98 with 63,000 on the clock. All you guys running your stock master did you do the drill mod or is it completely stock?
