rubber bushing on Hurst shifter
and you have a 4 gen with Gen like mine.
Open the console , lift out the Coin holder.
two small bolts and the top piece of the console will come off.

I'm still not quite sure what Bushing you are talkin about.
The Stock Hurst shifter is a two peice unit.
The top half of the shifter has rubber molded onto it.
Not really replaceable.
then if you take the whole shifter off the tranny there is a plastic cup where the Shifter rides.
What Bushing are you talkin about.
If its the cup in the tranny you probably have to remove the Whole Console.
two Bolts inside the console
two under the dash. one on passenger side one on drivers side
Then you have to use a screw driver on the Hand brake to releace the cam and pull the handle strait up.
Your Shift **** does unscrew.

Hmmm
Don't know anything about that.
I have My stock shifter at home on a shelf.
I can look at it when I get home .
I have the Ripper in my car now, and Love it.

Do like I did, go on ebay (or classifieds) and buy a $20 stainless short stick and replace your's with it. It's a night and day difference, I hated my stock Hurst shifter. Now I love it with the new handle. Completely different. It feels like my old Pro-5.0 I had back in the day. The handle is the problem, not the base.
You'll see what I mean when you take apart the console. 2 screws under the coin holder in the storage compartment and then pop the upper trim panel off.
