Default What fluid do you use in your Tick MC?

I'll be installing my new Tick MC this weekend ... I plan on doing the drill mod (if I understand correctly that the line that comes off the car with the MC is the line I can do the drill mod on) and heat wrapping the line as well. I've thought about running DOT 4 fluid since it has a higher boiling point but I'm not sure if it is compatible with the MC.

So what do you guys use?

the tick master comes with a new line that flows more fluid, so no need to do the drill mod. i'll run motul dot 4 fluid.

No need for the drill mod with the Tick. It flows plenty. As for fluid, I went to Advance Auto and got the cheapest DOT 3 I could find. Don't even know the brand. The Tick comes with a little bit of heat wrap on it, but I went ahead and put some DEI wrap on it. With that I doubt you'll need the DOT 4. I haven't had a bit of problems in over a year. I race it hard too with a faceplated trans. Just keep an eye on it and when it gets dirty, flush it.

I ran the Valvoline DOT 3/4 that came in the tan bottle (may be a white bottle now, if I remember last time I was at the auto store).

I wasn't aware that the Tick came with a new line. I think I'll run the Valvoline. How often do you guys have to flush or bleed?

Our kit does indeed come with a stainless braided line that is heat wrapped and unrestricted, thus eliminating the need for the drill mod.

We suggest using regular old DOT3 fluid in all of our kits. No need for synthetic.
