Did I blow my Clutch Or Tranny?
I did a hard pull and shifted from 3rd to 4th when I heard a clunk! I took it out
of gear and slowed down and then put it in 5th just to hear the GRINDING and the
rpms rising freely I then immediately pulled it out of 5th and tried 6th the same
grinding and revving! So I limped off the highway to realize the car is doing this
in every gear! The clutch pedal feels fine and the transmission shifts in gear
normal..Clutch has 105,000 never replaced......SO CLUTCH or
TRANSMISSION?
OR REAR END? (Whiny Moser 9 inch 4.11)

but grinding would indicate something in the transmission though.

My guess would be either frayed clutch lining or you stripped the center right out of the disk.
Can you shut the car off, put it in any gear, then start the car with the clutch in and drive away normally? Or does the car lurch forward when you try to start it like you don't have the clutch in at all? If you haven't tried this PLEASE make sure there is nothing to hit in front of you!

same hing happened to my stock clutch. You broke the center hub in the clutch disk.Just replace the clutch and you will be good to go.I did it on a 3-4 shift too,and my car was completely stock at the time with 12k miles on it
