Owners of the Pro 5.0, did you cut your shifter down?
I've had the Pro 5.0 in the box for a decade and I've noticed that it's the same length as the stock shifter. I thought when I bought it, it was supposed to be shorter out of the box.
Has anyone cut theirs down to make it a short throw and by how much? Seems like there's plenty of threading to pull this off.
Thanx

Its been said to be one of the best made, best working shifters out there. Everyone says its hands down the best but back in 08 it was the 5.0 & I dont think MGW made a shifter then for 4th gens. I considered buying one to see but I really like my 5.0 & the way the stick is angled makes hitting the gears easy.
Thats what I would recommend. You can always cut it shorter right in the car later.

I also have a Hurst with the chorme flat stick in my TA, I actually perfer that shifter over the Pro 5.0 in my Camaro.
The Hurst has a longer throw, and you can't cut the stick down, but I find it easier and faster to bang through the gears with it.
