A 1386-015 is a 97-04 Vette 2.66 first / .50 sixth box.
The bellhousing is for between Vette engine and the torque-tunnel of the C5 Vette.

It requires a good bit of parts to convert it to a closer-ratio GTO / F-body style trans. They gave you an tailhousing and a bunch of other parts.
It can be done but if you have no experience rebuilding them and don't know what parts to hunt down before starting, it could be quite a daunting task.

Yup. The date code says a '97 which would have paper blocker rings stock, hopefully there's a full rebuild kit in that stack of parts. Odd collection of 5/6/R parts.. Wonder if they knew something was wrong with the unit?

You can convert the corvette box to an f-body/gto style. You will need a mid plate, GTO mainshaft (because the corvette box uses triple/double cone synchros like the GTO and the f-body is double/single cone), speedo reluctor and snap rings, f-body/GTO shift rail and an F-body shifter block. The bellhousing you recieved is off of a late 4L60e automatic. You can send your transmission up to us and we will convert it for you. Shoot me a PM if you are interested.

Or better yet, I can accept all the parts you have in on a trade on a trans that's already built, upgraded and ready to go. I convert them all the time and it's not really cost effective to do unless you buy a lot of cores and have plenty of cases, etc, etc.
I have a complete T56 w/ Vette internals (f-body ratios, 2.66, 1.78, 1.30, 1.00, 0.74, 0.50). Freshly built, with billet chromoly 3-4 keys, steel 3-4 fork & updated synchro rings. It's better than new. I normally get $2000 outright for one of these. However, I'll give you $500-$900 credit towards my built T56 in exchange for all the parts you have. It all depends on the condition upon teardown. Let me know if I can help. Thanks
