I have done a bunch of searches on here for this very question. What I am looking to find out is, will a 2005 Viper t56 bolt up to a ls based engine? Will there have to be any machining done? I have heard that you have to machine the input shaft down for the pilot bearing to fit.
I am looking to put a t56 in an 87 IROC behind a turbo'd 5.3.
Other questions I have are.
What is needed for the conversion? I know that the cross member will have to be replaced, or make a new one.
Will the shifter line up with my shift hole? Or is there cutting involved?

Dont think it will. I believe the input shafts are different.
