Default Clutch feedback

Hi guys I'm Doing a turbo lsx swap in my 1990 300zx. Got a t56 trans. But I'm looking for a Good durable clutch that holds up to about 700hp. Would like to get some feedback from some of you that have experience with high hp rating clutches. Thanks

All depends on your goals for the car, is it a track car or street car. With that much HP if you want a clutch that will drive like stock go with the Mcleod RXT twin disc. If its just a track car/weekend warrior and you don't mind a puck style disc you could get a Monster level 3-5 or a Diamond stage 3.

I have never had any problems with Monster i love them and swear by them. With your build i would get a Monster level 4. unless you plan on doing more id get the 5. Mccloud and Diamond also make good product to just not as much experience with them.

Keep in mind that twin dick set-ups are going to be about twice as much as singles. If you are tracking your car and putting a lot and constant load on you drive train you will be better off spending the extra coin on a twin disk. They have more surface area and can dissipate heat better and also have a softer more stock like pedal feel. Exedy and Advanced Clutch Technologies have great twin disk set-ups.

Monster Clutch Co. levels 3-5 are amazing clutches and can't be beat for the price. I run a level 3 with the 18 lb flywheel. The pedal is a little stiffer, but I actually prefer that.

Good choice, you won't be disappointed.

I not running any crazy power, somewhere in the range of 450 whp, but I am very abusive to the clutch(drifting) so quality and durability are a necessity.

My LS6 in in a nissan 240sx actually. Have fun with your Z
