in need of a new clutch, need opinions
the car is a 1994 trans am, making around 470 RWHP and 442 rftlb's of torque at 5800 rpm, i started picking out pieces of disc out of the slave cylinder area so kind of think i need a new clutch kit, i am really interested in the McLeod RST twin disk because of the amazing drive-ability it offers, it lasts longer than single discs, and it can handle the power i want to put down later, but i have no idea if its even available for lt1 engines because its not listed on their website for my car, i am also looking for a flywheel to go with the clutch since mine has about 86k on it and might need changing
any options?

i would like a little more wiggle room with power, i was looking at the stage 3's but i read they have alot of "lockout" problems at high-rev shifts, and the stage 2 like i said would like more room for growth lol
still waiting to see if mcleod clutches will work on lt1's, not just ls1's :/

I am running a stg3 with 450rwh/405rwtq .Clutch has 6k on it with many 7000rpm launches & shift at 6800rpm .It is still here .....will be putting it back in after the GM master broke an ear off & blew the hydraulics [Tick is in now].Trans is at TDP rt now getting my 5/6 gear vibration fixed with a couple of other issus.
The stg 3 Monster is going back in & we will see just how long it lasts !Somewhere on here is a vid of a couple of 9 sec. cars running stg 3 Monsters .

Mcleod makes a twin disc clutch for the LT1...and IMHO would be the best for your power AND city driving..it is around $1100 with flywheel....but most likely the last clutch you will buy

ya ive seen the twin disks they offer, they dont have anything listed for lt1's specifically or anything past 1985 for GM, which confuses me and makes me not know if they have a clutch for my car or not

i might be going with a stage 3 diamond clutch kit, i have not read anything bad about them and they seem to last and drive somewhat like stock, any input on these clutches?
