Look in your rpo codes list for BBS. That is the code if it came with the factory hurst. To see if it has been replaced or not.. look underneath the car on top of the trans and the stock hurst will have a gold colored base about 1/4" thick. A stock non-hurst shifter is a thin piece of stamped steel.

Well that's good you got all that cleared up... Let us know what you end up choosing... I vote Hurts BILLET PLUS! no COMP. and I've read good and bad about MGW. so idk bout that one. I do know WS6Store has the Hurst Billet Plus at a good price tho... And FREE shipping for everything over $100!

So this shifter here is basically a stock Hurst shifter? I currently own a 2001 ws6 with a stock shifter. How much of an upgrade would this be? Is it a shorter throw and stick?
