How to get Master Line out of the Slave??

Default How to get Master Line out of the Slave??

I see the little plastic piece, but how do you get that all pushed in at one time?? Any tricks?

Mine came out by using two flathead screwdrivers as well, I'd say thats the best/cheapest method. It was a frustrating process though.

They make a tool for removing the line but basicly you just have to press the little plastic release in all the way around to release the catches and pull it out after you release it.

i tried the screwdrivers and never could get it i ended up breaking the hose off the fitting (in had a new tick and slave onthe way anyway) but i also went ahead and order the GM slave tool from Matco PN: ftld8j.

the do it section at car parts store has the red package with various plastic tools for fuel lines etc.

Thanks for the help guys. I took a piece of aluminum flat stock about 8" long and drilled a hole in it then slit the hole to get the line into the tool. Made a few bends on the vise and viola! Took 5 seconds to remove it.

this was extremely easy for me..? just push the plastic piece in all the way around with a flat head, push in the fitting then pull. falls right out...
