Need help with clutch, not disengaging
Hey, so I'm new to this site but I think it's awesome. With that outta the way, I need some help bad. I have a 99 trans am with a 6 speed tremec t56. I just had the tranny rebuilt (counter gear cluster, 5/6 synchro, 3/4 synchro, 5 gear, 6 gear, 3-4 shift fork, 3-4 blocker ring, reverse blocker ring) and also a new clutch master kit, fly wheel, pressure plate, friction disc, and slave cylinder, and last night I spent 4-5 hours trying to bleed the clutch (that's all that needs to be done....from what I'm aware of) with a mity vac AND with a friend by hand, but I can't for the life of me get the clutch to disengage when depressed. Does ANYONE have any idea what I coulda missed or if I'm doing something wrong??? Thanks in advance.

^^this what clutch are you using and did you measure for a shim? I suppose you could have a faulty slave... try bench bleeding the master off the car and making sure the bleeder in closed tight on the slave then try the mighty vac or the JMD method which is what I used and it did improve the pedal over the mighty vac.

Agreed! Clutch type and Shim info are needed to assess this further!
Let us know and I am sure we can help you find a solution. Thanks!

Thanks for all the help guys. I measured and got my shim, i re-bled the master and like you "beyonddisturbed" I ended up not having enough time to check the slave, BUT, thankfully with shim and re bleeding the master eveything is working beautifully. Again thanks so much guys.
