Default Clutch recommendation

Hey guys, just trying to get some advice/suggestions to what clutch I should go with on my build ill be doing soon.

Hoping for around 450rwhp, want something that will handle that hp range & be able to enjoy driving on the street. not a daily driver but dont want a clutch that will give my calf muscle a cramp everytime I drive it. this also is not a track car. Let me know what you guys think.

If your rocking an ls1 car I can't say enough good things about my ls7 clutch...

It has maybe 15k very very hard miles in it along with 2 very good smoky clutch burnouts and the car still cuts 1.5X 60fts and went 100mph through the 1/8th with no issues. lol

my car makes 525-550whp on a 175 shot and weighs 3500lbs with me in it.

I have the monster stage 2 and I love it. I dont have the power you have but its rated for around your power output. Id highly reccommend it but if you want a little more I havent heard any issues with any monster clutches. Stage 3 is said to be a little stiffer but not much. Stage 2 is like stock, mine is a little stiffer because of my tick mc.

I was actually just looking at the Monster stage 2. Ive read a few different post about people with them and they all loved theirs too. might just go with that one then. Does it have any chatter that you have noticed?

I had one in my car for a few weeks and it chattered so hard I thought the dash was going to come off. I put a LS7 in it and its been smooth sailing ever since. I highly recommend the LS7.

I have the Diamond Stage 2 clutch from Texas Drivetrain Performance and I love it. I have driven the stage 3 and it is a little grabby for the street. The stage two has just the right amount of slip for smooth engagement like a stock one. And it holds 440 plus a 125 shot with no complaints. The pedal is a little stiffer than stock but it feels like good like you have a clutch in there. I do all my own builds and have built 2 other Camaro's in the last year and I wouldn't even consider anything else. He is the man when it comes to these clutches and he won't let you down if there is a problem inherent in the clutch. I can't say enough about him and his parts. Do it you won't be dissapointed. He buy far has the best prices for the qualitly of his merchandise. So don't skimp on this area. Get the package and listen to what he tells you and you won't have any problem. They also breakin real well. A little chatter that scared me to death at first but it goes away after about 400 miles and is ready to race at 300. And I mean I took it to the track and hit 300 when I got there. Ran it all day with no problems and it has settled in great. Go diamond and you will love it. I have driven both his stage 3 and stage 2 and they are both delicious peices.

LS7 all the way; pretty short dough from WS6 Store and all GM parts. I have 315s out back and I am making pretty good power; no issues.

I had a monster lvl 2 before hand and it was a great clutch!!! Worked great for a while but the people that installed it messed it up. Had trans rebuilt with new clutch kit from TDP and it works great too!! Either way you cannot lose with those clutch systems.
