Monster stage three smoking.... :(
My clutch troubles just don't end. My little sisters dog ran away and my wife had taken the suv... So I had to go looking around the neighborhood for her dog in my newly broken in LQ9 with stage 3 monster clutch. I pretty much kept it in first and tried my best not to slip it at all. When I got home, stopped the car.. Smoke poured out from under the hood. I thought there was a fire, that's how bad it was. Now today I drive to Starbucks, in normal driving conditions, again smoke pours from under the hood??? Is my clutch toast???

Ok... I babied the thing home... Very slowly... I didn't feather the clutch at all. I basically chirped the tires repeatedly... Still a bunch of smoke . What could cause this? I followed break in procedures to the letter? It didn't even smoke during break in and it was all stop and go traffic?

I think you guys might be right... Problem is it only smokes for a few seconds when I come to a complete stop... By the time I get out and under the hood the smokes gone. It's going in this week to have the rear seal changed on the T56, maybe they will see something I don't.

I just had a similar issue today it smelled like clutch and was smoking I took the car and beat the clutch through some 2nd-4th pulls and I drove it normal again and I haven't had an issue my stage 3 and 18lb fw have 1000 miles on them now
Could it have been a glaze on the fw
Also mine makes a slight slipping feeling in the pedal when going into 1st gear but thats it I heard thats normal for a 6 puck but when I am launching it the clutch is solid no slippage

I have not had it smoke since that day at all I think I may have had some grease or oil drip on my exhaust that caused the smoking like he said and upon thinking more about it i never smelled the clutch and the clutch doesnt slip what so ever
