A 621 will allow an f body T5 to bolt up to an LS. The trans will be at a 15 degree angle though. And as pointed out, might not laast long.
One of the hi performance Mustang T5s might be a better choice. You'll need to swap out the 2.95 input shaft with a GM version. And an 86 Astro Van T5 bell housing has the correct bolt pattern for the mustang trans and SBC/BBC/LSx block.

I have a "world class" t5 in the I'm selling. I wouldn't dare put it behind the ls but is suppose to be stringer than your t5

a built t5.. behind a STOCK 4.8 of 5.3 in say an old classic resto car that wont be driven hard... might hold up.. even still highly doubtful... if i was building an old hotrod id use a Super T-10 anyways.. those will bolt up and are freakin tough transmissions. im into old school tho

An M-van V6/T5 bell ( astro) would not have the tilt & would likely be cheaper.....rare though.
